Re: Vaz te off to Turkey??
Actually thought the first few games back in the prem league he played quite well and looked like he may be able to make the step up,then picked up the bad injury and never really played too much after that.As said already, surprised no championship clubs came in for him, even on loan, considering his record at that level.

Re: Vaz te off to Turkey??
I like his unpredictability, scored some important goals for us. Good luck to him.

I think some relegation candidates and few championship teams missed out here.

I wish him well.

Talented player who we owe a great deal to.

I have never said a word against him and never intend to.

Well done, thank you, and good luck RVT!

Re: Vaz te off to Turkey??
He did really well in the championship but couldn't make the step up and was pretty ineffective in the premier league.

We need better players to be honest so not a big loss.

Re: Vaz te off to Turkey??
I like the type of player RVT is and as well as the unfortunate injuries, I love an acrobatic / overhead goal, Trevor Sinclair being one of my favourite players.... I think he suffered at the hands of the managers bollocksed 1 up front policy. Think he would've continued to do well in a front 2... Though Sam did know his nature from before, I did feel he could've been more creative with the use of RVT...
Good luck, mate... Nice tweet, thanks for the memories...x

Re: Vaz te off to Turkey??
Funny how different people remember different things about people.

I'll remember Carlton Cole as the player that won that play off final, scored one and laid the other on a plate for his team mate brilliantly.

I'll remember Vaz Te as a diver, a sulker and someone who walked off the pitch during a game when he wasn't getting passed to as often as he wanted.

Re: Vaz te off to Turkey??
Not quite PL standard,or the will to physically impose himself in the PL.
His performance against Brighton at the Boleyn was magnificent, however, and we won't forget the winner at Wembley.
Good luck Ric.

RAF

12 goals in 19 games that got us in those play offs in the first place?

Goal at white hart lane?

He's one of those players that will do something special once in a blue moon.
He'll be useful to any club that only plays when there's a blue moon.

No lasting memory....

...apart from scoring the goal that took us up via the play-offs.

I probably won't give him a second thought. One of many former players who leave no lasting memory.

I wish him well, but he really wasn't very good.

Re: Vaz te off to Turkey??
Good luck to him. He was great for us in the Championship and deserves some first team football.

Players like him, Taylor, Nolan and so on get a bit of stick, but they were important for us at a time when the club was on the ropes.
